Manager as Coach
We as an organization and our leadership truly believe that “Leaders Don’t Build Business. They Build People Who Build Business”. In keeping with this philosophy the signature Manager as Coach Program was launched.
Manager as Coach Program is an Y-ATG centric global program to encourage a coaching mindset to support a culture of developing our people and creating an internal talent pool for the long term.
ASTRA Sales Capability Development Program
Sales Capability Development Program called ASTRA is specifically for our personnel and is catered to developing the different skills that a sales person needs. This multi-touch point program designed with immersive and contextualized learning experience, has a blended omni-channel design that includes learning elements such as simulations, board games, activities and role plays.
We at Y-ATG believe that there is no single approach to learning. In keeping with this philosophy, Y-ATG provides an amalgamation of conventional, online and blended learning. The emphasis of any training intervention at Y-ATG is on learning with an impact on business results. To attain the desired results we follow the 70-20-10 principle for learning and development.
Y-ATG also has an in-house Learning Management System (LMS) through which employees can acquire skills and perfect their work-related tasks at their convenience and on the go.
The Y-ATG Graduate Development Program (GDP) has been designed to provide required developmental input to our Engineering and Management Graduates and prepare them for leadership roles on a fast track.
We recruit for GDP through a rigorous selection process. The graduates undergo a predefined period of training with planned projects and are assigned coach and a mentor to guide them. Learning is the key focus for the graduates in this program and they are provided with periodic functional and behavioral trainings to complement the on-the-job learning acquired. The Leadership at Y-ATG is highly invested in this program and graduates get exposure to the top leadership
Through the Graduate Development Program the graduates can expect stimulating work, the chance to connect and learn from their colleagues from across functions, the opportunity to contribute to leading-edge projects and have loads of fun!

While the company has a balanced male female ratio in the non-manufacturing departments, we are making a conscious effort to increase representation of women on the shop floor as well.
Y-ATG is the first company in India to recruit an all women crew in the manufacturing unit of Truck Bus Radial Tires! As expected, with women being in charge of the unit, the LTI(lost time injury) has been zero since production began in 2018. It’s no mean fact that this women task force is responsible for the production of over 700 metric tonnes every month!
Y-ATG offers an Internship Program centred at the corporate office. The program offers interns the chance to know and understand our business and the life at Y-ATG. Interns are given challenging and stretch assignments in order to bring the best out of them. Live projects and a strong support system comprising buddy, guide and mentor are the features of our Internship Program.
