BACKGROUND

ATC Tires PVT. LTD. has determined that a safety defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain Galaxy 11R24.5 DH241-G 16H commercial truck tires.

REASON FOR THIS RECALL

Certain Galaxy 11R24.5 DH241-G 16H tires fail to conform to the durability requirements of FMVSS No. 119. These tires, manufactured between June 22nd and November 17th 2019, were manufactured at ATC Tires PVT. LTD. factory in Dahej, India and may have been improperly vulcanized.

The specific DH241 catalog number is 683446-36 and only those tires with a production DOT date between 2519 and 4619 are affected.

This is a safety-related defect due to the fact that the tires subject to this recall may have been produced with improper vulcanization which could potentially lead to a tread separation.
