An erroneous report of a fire at Yokohama Off-Highway Tires plant in Hadera, Israel, has caused confusion in the tire industry. Yokohama Off-Highway Tires officials confirm that there was NO fire at the facility.

“All our plants in Japan, India and Israel are fully functional and running well, and there was no fire as was reported, in Hadera,” said Anil Gupta, COO of Yokohama Off-Highway Tires.

“We regret any concern or inconvenience the unverified report has caused our customers and partners around the world,” added David Geraghty, President of Yokohama Off-Highway Tires America, Inc. “We are glad to report that our manufacturing teams are operating as usual.”

Meanwhile Janine Young, Editor –Smither’s Report has expressed deep regret about the erroneous story reported in the January 18, 2023 report. We are expecting a correction and a verified news in Smither’s Report confirming smooth running of operations at the Yokohama Off-Highway Tires Factory in Israel.
